TCRT5000 IR Line Tracking Sensor Module with LM393

The TCRT5000 module is a reflective infrared sensor for line-following robots, edge detection and short-range object sensing. It combines the Vishay TCRT5000 sensor with an LM393 comparator, so it gives a clean digital signal, and a potentiometer to set the trigger point.

Practical notes

Mount the sensor 2–5 mm above the surface for reliable line tracking; it is a short-range sensor, not an obstacle detector.
