Principle of Operation: The HC-SR04 uses ultrasonic sound waves to measure distance. It operates on the principle of time-of-flight. It emits a burst of ultrasonic sound waves and then measures the time it takes for the sound waves to bounce back after hitting an object.

Components :

• Transmitter: It emits ultrasonic pulses.
• Receiver: It detects the reflected pulses.
• Control Circuit: Manages the timing and triggering of the ultrasonic pulses.

Pin Configuration :

• VCC: Connect to a 5V power source.
• Trig (Trigger): Trigger input for initiating the ultrasonic pulse.
• Echo: Output signal that is high for the time taken for the ultrasonic pulse to return.
• GND: Connect to the ground.

Usage :

• To measure distance, you trigger the module by sending a 10µs pulse to the Trig pin.
• The module then emits an ultrasonic pulse.
• The Echo pin goes high, and you measure the time it stays high.
• Distance (in centimetres) is calculated using the formula: Distance = (Time * Speed of Sound) / 2.
