STM32 Starter Kit with OLED, Sensors & ST-Link V2
- Description
- Reviews
The STM32 Starter Kit is a beginner kit for learning ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers on real hardware. It pairs an STM32F103C8T6 "Blue Pill" board with an ST-Link V2 programmer/debugger, a 0.96-inch OLED, sensors and a breadboard, so you can flash, debug and test code from your first day.
What's in the box
- STM32F103C8T6 "Blue Pill" development board
- ST-Link V2 programmer/debugger
- Small breadboard
- 0.96-inch OLED display (128x64)
- DHT11 temperature and humidity sensor
- PIR motion sensor
- IR obstacle sensor
- Flame sensor
- LDR (light sensor) module
- Buzzer module
- Single-digit 7-segment display
- RGB LED
- LEDs: 5 red, 5 yellow, 5 green

- E-book tutorial
What you can build with this kit
- Temperature and humidity monitor: DHT11 readings on the OLED.
- Motion alarm: the PIR sensor triggers the buzzer and an LED.
- Traffic light controller: red, yellow and green LEDs with timed sequences.
- Light-level meter: read the LDR through the ADC and show the value on the OLED.
- Fire alarm: the flame sensor drives the buzzer.
- Push-button counter: count presses on the 7-segment display.
How to get started
Install STM32CubeIDE (free). Connect the ST-Link V2 to the Blue Pill's SWD pins (3.3V, SWDIO, SWCLK, GND), then build and flash your first LED blink program. The e-book tutorial walks through each project.
Tip: the STM32 runs at 3.3 V logic. Power the sensors from 3.3 V where they support it, and don't drive STM32 inputs with 5 V signals unless that pin is 5 V tolerant.
Why learn on STM32?
STM32 microcontrollers are used widely in industrial and consumer products. Learning with an ST-Link debugger teaches the same flash-and-debug workflow used in professional embedded work, which an Arduino-style USB upload does not.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate programmer?
No. The ST-Link V2 is included.
Which software can I use?
STM32CubeIDE, Keil µVision or IAR. STM32CubeIDE is free.
Is this kit suitable for beginners?
Yes, if you know basic C. If you have never programmed a microcontroller, start with an Uno R3 starter kit and move to STM32 next.
